* Help for Outlook Express Stationery! *
As a general rule, people who have email address's at places like
Yahoo,
Hotmail or use Netscape, AOL and various other programs
will not see the
stationery as you send it but rather get an
attachment at best
You must be using Outlook Express 5.0 and above to use the stationery on this
site correctly.
Outlook Express Stationery will not work correctly with any other
mail
program. If you send my stationery to people who use a
different mail
program then expect weird
problems...always.
The major problems usually involve sound &
scrolling.
Never assume that just because a message sent from your computer looks fine
to
you that the receiver will be able to view it.
I
suggest writing a "plain text" message first and asking what mail
program
your correspondent uses. If they are not using OE5 then
"give up" trying to
send them e-mail stationery

Why isn't my Stationery Background scrolling!
The scrolling function on my stationery will not work until
it's
sent. In other words, the background does not scroll while you
are
writing on it.
Here is a "little trick" I use to see if my Stationery is
sending
correctly.....I send a copy of the message to
myself.
I realize this sounds silly, but it's a great time saver and
the best way to
see how your stationery looks to others. Your
stationery should scroll as you
read the incoming version.

How do I select my stationery?
Make sure that you are NOT getting to your stationery files through the
Format
menu...Which is INCORRECT.
Next to the "New Mail" tab you should see a "small down-pointing" black
arrow.
Left click and follow the "drop down" list to words "Select
Stationery" This
is where you choose the Stationery you want to
compose on.
Selecting your stationery from the format menu removes the "Margin
Settings"
and fouls up the script.

How can I change Fonts in an E-mail?
Font changes ....these are really simple to do with OE5
In the "toolbar" just above the writing table of your message text you
will
see
a Toolbar Row.
Place your "mouse pointer".
into the Text
area of your New Message and "Left Click"
This will cause the
Toolbar directly above to become active or "Black"
In the Toolbar, To your Far Left, you should see a box with the "Font"
Style
written in.
Next to the Font Box will be a Downward
pointing Black Arrow. Left Click on
the arrow.
This will
bring you a "drop down" list of Fonts. "Left Click" the one you
like
and that is the New Font you will write in....
Outlook Express 5 Tip!
You don't have to wait until you send your email to preview the
scrolling effect if you enable your edit/source/preview tab.
All you have to do when you're in the compose window is click "View" and
select "Source Edit" (you'll see a check mark appear next to it when
you have selected it). Now you'll see 3 tabs at the lower left hand
corner of your compose window:
Edit (the mode in which you write your email)
Source (lets you see the source code of the email)
Preview (lets you preview your email as it will appear to your recipient)
