Hello Friends!
This Web Page is devoted to introducing and explaining a New way to use
Outlook Express stationery.
I've seen this format being offered for Download on a few other Stationery
Sites and am impressed with its easy features.
There are various names for this format but I'll call it . . .
E-Mail Format Stationery or .eml stationery
This newest Stationery idea will make using "Outlook Express Stationery" more
versatile and gives the user more options.
New Downloading Icon
All of my Newest Stationery Pages will now display two different downloading
Icons.
This Icon represents the Executable Zip File download that I've always used...
Here is a new Icon which will represent the Zip Download File for the New
.eml Format Stationery.

What is .eml format stationery?
This new way to put together stationery simply combines all the bits and
pieces necessary to make a single stationery
into one single self contained package.
Below are two pictures that will help illustrate the differences:
The 4 files shown in the picture above are examples of the various files pulled
together by the HTML File displayed in your Outlook Express Preview Window.
The Pic1.jpg, Bkg.gif & some.mid files are used by the example.HTML file to
make a single Outlook Express stationery.
Sometimes! I use 6, 7 or even 8 individual files to make up one of my
stationery creations.
Let's say
you download 10 stationeries. Well, you can see how your stationery folder
can become quite a mess with bits and pieces scattered everywhere.
The picture above represents the Icons your Computer will display for this
newest
form of stationery.
After you download
.eml stationery
files, saving them where you will....
.eml stationery
will be easy to recognize by
its Icons.
All the Stationery files from the first illustration are stored within this
one compact little envelope.
When you
select the
.eml format
Icon you open it either with a single or double click, depending your setting
Outlook
Express then opens a New Message window displaying the selected
.eml Stationery
ready for your use.
I believe
.eml format
Stationery will become more popular as time goes on.
Its benefits outweighs the disadvantages but let's take a look at each.
Advantages of the .eml format:
1. You can rename the
.eml Stationery
any way you want (as long as you keep the same
.eml
extension).
2. You can move the
.eml file
anywhere you want without affecting the performance/special effects of
stationery in any way.
May I suggest making a New Folder named
A_SandraSue2
in your "My Documents" folder? Then, if you choose to download
.eml stationery files
from my WebSite, place all the
.eml Stationery
into this new
A_SandraSue2
folder.
3. Less clutter - much LESS!!
4. Different Computers using various Operating Systems aren't always successful
displaying "tricky Stationery effects." What works on one computer, sometimes
does not work on another.
This newest
.eml format
seems to work for everyone.
5. If you get tired of an
.eml Stationery
and want to remove it, just delete the one
.eml file
!!!
Disadvantages of the .eml format:
1. You cannot view
.eml stationery files
in the "preview pane" of
Outlook Express.
The preview pane is where you normally browse and view the E-Mail Stationery
you have stored in Outlook Express.
2.
Font Color
(other than black) will be lost if you back-space beyond my written
TEXT GOES HERE
message in
.eml Format
Stationery.
Sometimes a Stationery Script acts like it forgets the font color its suppose
to use.
Writing
TEXT GOES HERE
"sets" the font information.
You may have wondered why stationery creators write
TEXT GOES HERE
into our stationery.
We don't think you are too stupid to figure out where to write :-)
We write in
TEXT GOES HERE
to assure the Font Color is fixed.
Remember!
Don't try to view
.eml stationery files
in your Outlook Express Program. All you will see is a "blank screen."
However! Windows 98SE users take note!
You can "Preview"
.eml stationery files
in your "My Documents" folder. The Preview looks like this
If you will set up your "View" settings like mine shown below . . .
You can then "Preview" your
.eml Stationery.
That's the end of this Tutorial.
I hope my explanation has given more clarity than confusion.
I'd be extremely interested in Feedback concerning
.eml Format Stationery
from those of you who could take the time to write me.
